The release on each store

The SNEG announcement, reported by DLH.NET on October 20, 2026, states that the restored Dungeons & Dragons title became available digitally for the first time on November 6th on both Steam and GOG.com. This marks the first time the 2001 Stormfront Studios game has been sold as a digital download anywhere.

The official Steam page lists the release date as Nov 6, 2026, and confirms the game is out now — SNEG's Steam announcement from November 6 reads "Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is out now!" and notes that an original soundtrack is included with the game.

What the release includes

This is a restoration of the original 2001 game, not a remake. The re-release adds:

• Runs smoothly on modern hardware, with widescreen support including 4K
• Fixed original game bugs, sharper visuals, and an improved UI with an action bar and tooltips
• Optional "Legacy" mode preserving original gameplay and visuals
• Full controller support, reworked camera control, Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud

The Steam launch price is $19.99, discounted 10% to $17.99 in a special promotion that ends November 20. Bundle discounts also apply if you own The Temple of Elemental Evil or Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection Two. A free demo covering the first location was available during Steam Next Fest, and demo progress carried over into the full game.

For the original release context: the game first shipped on disc in 2001, published by Ubi Soft.
